Academic Advising & Student Services
Overview
Our primary goal is to enhance the experience of the students in our College, and to maintain a high retention and graduation rate for all undergraduates in the Life Sciences. A key to student success is frequent and accurate guidance with respect to degree requirements, what classes to take and when to take them, career opportunities, and other matters. We take great pride in making certain that our students meet often with advisors who can provide them with the information and guidance needed to make appropriate academic choices. We think of it as a "continuous interaction" that starts as early as the first term of study for our freshmen. School of Life Sciences Undergraduate Handbook

Life Science courses(BIO, MIC, MBB and PLB - no general studies courses) taken at UA or NAU, as well as community colleges in Arizona, should transfer automatically according to the official Course Equivalency Guide. If you want to have a course you took outside Arizona count towards your degree requirements you should first fill out and submit a Transfer Equivalency Approval Form (PDF) to the School of Life Sciences undergraduate program front desk, LSC 206. Make sure you allow sufficient time for the paperwork to be processed (three to five days) then follow up with your Major department. Consult with an advisor if you have any question.
