Dr. Hall joined the ASU School of Life Sciences in 2005. Previously, she held an appointment as Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at The Colorado College (2000-2005). She received her Ph.D. in 1998 in Soil Science/Ecosystem Ecology from UC Berkeley and did post-doctoral work at the University of Colorado. At ASU, Dr. Hall is affiliated with the Global Institute of Sustainability, the School of Sustainability at ASU and the Central Arizona-Phoenix LTER program in urban ecology.
Terrestrial Ecosystem Ecology
I am interested in studying the consequences of human activity on the cycling of nutrients within and between terrestrial ecosystems. In my research, I use an experimental approach to pursue questions across ecosystem types (tropical, temperate, arid, urban) and at multiple scales (microbial to regional/global). Please visit my lab web page for more information about our research group and current projects.
