SOLS Graduate Degree Studies

The School of Life Sciences Graduate Program offers degrees at three levels and within four areas of graduate study, as well as one certificate program:

  • Doctor of Philosophy -- Biology (with concentrations in "Ecology" and "Biology and Society"), Microbiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology (with a concentration in "Computational Biosciences"), Plant Biology
  • Master of Science -- Biology (with concentrations in "Ecology" and "Biology and Society"), Microbiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Plant Biology
  • Master of Natural Science

The iGELS program consists of a series of Research Focus Areas and Concentrations, which forms the basis for a student's research education and training leading to a degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology or Plant Biology. Many of the areas and concentrations will have a parallel counterpart in another academic unit, providing excellent opportunities for interaction between disciplines.
