Update 5-15-2002
The storm is having intermittent problems. If you
get an error during use, please record the error code in the log sheet
attached to the Storm and try again. We are trying to recognize patterns
in the appearance of these errors to help in diagnosing the problem.
If you try to scan multiple times and still get errors, follow these
steps:
- Turn off the Storm (power switch is on the left
side of the unit near the power cord.
- Turn off the PC.
- Turn on the Storm - wait for the LED indicator
on the front panel to change from red to green
- Boot up the PC.
- Log in and use normally
If you have not already, please consult with
a support person prior to using this system for the first time.
Hardware changed to a new computer system.
- This changes the hardware
but will not affect the use of the scanner.
- User accounts will be the same, however the first
time you log in it will prompt for a new password. This was
necessary because we could not move the old accounts to the new
system. To login for the first time use your old user ID and then
enter the password used to access the calendar system.
- The CD Burner has moved
to a system in the offline processing room. Users can access the
burner using the same account prior to the move.
New ImageQuant for
Power Mac users
- A new Power Mac ImageQuant CD
arrived. Several bug fixes are included and some features added.
