RESEARCH
The Biology Department believes that research experiences engage and stimulate students, bring them into close contact with mentors, and expose them to a wide range of opportunities for professional careers.
- Research for Credit
Students may enroll in credit hours to engage in research with a faculty mentor.
- Biology Research Experience for Undergraduates (BREU)
Students may apply to this program to receive funding to engage in research with a faculty mentor.
- The SUMS Institute houses programs for students in math and science including the Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) and the PreMARC programs. Visit the SUMS page for more information.
- Undergraduate Mentoring in Environmental Biology (UMEB)
Freshmen and Sophomore students interested in environmental research are encouraged to apply to this program.
