Arizona State University is presenting the Fifth Annual Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium on Friday, January 30, 1998. All undergraduates conducting research in the life sciences are invited to attend or present a poster. We are expecting as many as 50 posters to be on display throughout the day in the Life Science Center. Rep. Vernon J. Ehlers from Michigan's 3rd Congressional District will be the keynote speaker. Following Congressman Ehlers's speech, students will be at their posters to discuss their projects. |
| The poster session highlights the Biology Research Experience for Undergraduates (BREU) program, which is among ASU's efforts to improve undergraduate education. Both the poster session and the BREU program are sponsored by ASU's Hughes Program. The program has received $2.6 million in grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute of Chevy Chase, Md., since 1992. | ![]() Keynote SpeakerRep. Vernon Ehlers |
