Title and Abstract Form Instructions

  1. PRINT OUT THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
  2. Open the Title and Abstract Form (PDF file).
  3. Complete requested information at the top of the page up until "File Format". Do NOT type or paste text into the "Abstract Box".
  4. Print the form.
  5. Open the computer file containing your abstract. (word or text file)
  6. Set margin settings for your printer. The top margin should be set at 5 1/4 inches, side margins at approximately 3/4 inch, and the bottom margin should be 3/4 inch.
  7. Put your Title and Abstract Form back into the printer and print your title, authors and abstracts (from your abstract computer file) on the form in the "Abstract Box" at the lower half of the page. See the Sample PDF below as an example.
  8. Please proofread all information. Modifications made after the deadline date will not be reflected on the web site or in the Poster Symposium booklet.
  9. Save your abstract computer file (containing your title, authors, and abstract) to a clean floppy disk, zip disk, or CD. Please see the form for acceptable formats.
  10. Use a highlighter pen to highlight any italics, bold, superscript, subscript, and Greek characters. This is to ensure proper formatting when putting this information on the web.
  11. Have your mentor proofread and sign the form. We will not accept UNSIGNED Title/Abstract Forms.
