Research Interests

     I am a postdoctoral research associate in
the laboratory of Bert Hölldobler. My research focuses on
connecting the regulating mechanisms of worker development to adaptive
demography and seasonality in ant colonies.

Research interests:


  • Emergence of seasonal, colonly-level traits

  • Life history evolution in eusocial species

  • Aging, senesence and developmental plasticity

  • Sensory development and behavioral thresholds (SSR)

  • History and Philosophy of Science 

  • The fabulous lives of myrmecophiles (spiders,
    beetles and silverfish oh my!)
