Biography

Robyn Merchant is the Assistant Director of Research Advancement and Communications for the School of Life Sciences (SOLS). She supervises the SOLS Research Advancement and Communications staff and works closely with faculty in proposal preparation, specifically providing assistance and guidance during development, pre-submission administrative review, management, compliance, and authorization of proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. She also acts as the liaison between project Principal Investigators, departments, colleges, and the ASU Office for Research and Sponsored Projects Administration (ORSPA). Prior to joining SOLS, Robyn worked as a Research Advancement Administrator, Sr. for the Biodesign Research Opportunity Advancement and Development (ROAD) Team; and previously as the Research Advancement Specialist for the School of Human Evolution and Social Change.  

Before coming to ASU, Robyn worked in project management for a Department of Defense contractor. She received her BA and MA in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from Stockton University.
