Bioethics Breakfast Club

LSE 244 and Zoom

Ben Hurlbut, School of Life Sciences
In recent times, gene editing tools such as CRISPR have been widely used in clinical trials, and increasingly in medical applications, as a therapeutic tool for diseases and disorders. With this technology comes many questions about access and proper applications, such as: How do we ensure this therapeutic treatment is available and affordable for all? To what extent should people be allowed to genetically modify their embryos, and by extension, choose what traits their children will have?
Breakfast: A take-away breakfast will be provided.

Contact SOLS Ethics Program Director Karin Ellison or Instructor Kate MacCord for more information or with your questions.
